Shut The Box Wooden Dice Math Game for 2–4 Players (2025-39)

Introducing the Shut the Box Dice Game. Roll, add and flip. Shut The Box is a classic wooden dice game where players roll and cover numbered tiles that add up to their score, mixing simple math with smart choices.

Shut the Box Dice Game highlights

• Classic wooden game board
• Numbered flip tiles
• 2 dice included
• For 2–4 players
• Counting and addition practice

How kids play with it

Players take turns rolling the dice and flipping down tiles that add up to the total. If you roll an 8, you might close the 8, or the 5 and 3. Keep going until no move is possible, then count the tiles still open. The lowest score wins.

Why choose the Shut the Box Dice Game?

It sneaks in addition practice while feeling like a real game. Kids learn to plan which tiles to close, which builds strategy and decision making. Rounds are quick, the rules are easy, and adults enjoy it just as much as children.

Ideas for more fun

Play a five-round tournament on family game night. For younger kids, use one die and close single tiles. For older kids, add up the open tiles each round as a mental math challenge. Keep the dice inside the box so they don’t roll away.
